Possibly embarrassing question, forgive me: Must it be Martini and Rossi sweet vermouth? Would any sweet vermouth work? Thank you for the inspiration to celebrate the simple things. It means more than you know right now…

Martini & Rossi is the most widely available, but any sweet vermouth would work.

And huzzah! Today I shall celebrate a new comment from you!

Ah, excellent! We have sweet vermouth, but I didn’t know if there was something magical about the M&R.

I love to entertain, but am a novice when it comes to cooking and recipes – this site is AMAZING! I’ll be back asking more silly questions as I build my skills.

I have a big bottle in my liquor cabinet. Think I’ll go make one right now!
