A Good Washerwoman.

She’s a woman, a woman a good washerwoman
a woman, a woman a good washerwoman
a woman, a woman a good washerwoman,
she dances and sings while she washes the clothes.

She also freaks out and overbooks.

Like, we had a lot of celebrating last week.
Between our anniversary dinner,
bocce,
another fun porch party,
Nora Lea’s third birthday and
the chance to ride on a vintage fire truck in a small town Fourth of July parade,
well, we’re tired.

(Read about Nora Lea’s birthday party!)

But there’s no time for the tired.
We have a trip to pack for.

That’s the thing about overbooking, there’s no time to revel in the fun you had.
NOTE TO SELF, HELEN JANE.

Fourth of July Calistoga Parade

We have work to do.

Small town Fourth of July parties are just the most fun. My 5 year old and I rode in the back of a 1953 Ford and threw stuffed animals and Pixie Sticks to the attendees. There were other parade entrants that handed out beer or toilet paper. Best. Parade. Evar.

Hooray for replies!
