Yesterday, we celebrated Pinot’s tenth birthday.

We walked wherever she wanted for as long as she wanted.

We ate red meat for dinner, and shared the scraps.

We blew out candles and sung happy birthday.

Of course, all that came after the Wizard of Oz sing along at our local movie theater.
The girls dressed up as Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West.

One girl even won an award.

We couldn’t find a sitter for a big party,
so the grownups stayed in, ordered pizza and
watched Looper.

Every weekend that we don’t make plans or have too much work finds our happiness levels go up a thousandfold.

Have a happier week than you were setting out for.

I have gone back to work after 3 years as a stay at home Mom. I haven’t much time for blogging and reading my favorite blogs (yours, I mean). It made my day so much better getting a chance to read this, and the message was just want I needed to hear.

Hooray for replies!
