Egads, I fear I’ve become that person.
I talk about the baby all day long.
Nap times, feedings, doctor visits and blah blah blah.
Apologies if I’ve bored you.
I’ve also been doing other stuff.
Our bocce team, Joanie Loves Bocce, has 11 wins and only one loss under its belt. That loss I feel personally responsible for as I played that game. That was the only game I’ve played in this season.
See, I was really great at bocce when I was pregnant.
Now, not so much.
(I think it was the exceptional counter balance she provided.)
(See? There I go talking about the baby again.)
Our food themes this season have been really fun.
We’ve had food that
begins with the letter B
is inside out and upside down
feels like the first time (food that we’ve never made before)
And I’ve never had more fun with these people.
Who would have thought bocce.
BOCCE of all things would have such an impact on my life.
Come to think about it, I feel the same way about cookbooks.
I’ve joined a cookbook club. Once a month 12 exceptional ladies get together to cook recipes out of a single cookbook.
And there is wine.
And mama’s first solitary night out was a hoot.
We had the event at Acme Fine Wines, a fancy wine store off the beaten path in St. Helena. It is in a shiny, modern/rustic, brand new building that had us feeling exclusive indeed.
Despite our lack of a web site, Cheesewhizzes is still kicking. Next event comes soon and I’ll tell you all about our cheesy goodness as it happens.
Today I have my third in-person business meeting with a baby (there I go again). It’s nice to have such open-minded clientfriends that don’t mind the occasional yelp, jiggle or holler.
Yeah, she’s just become such a part of my life that she’s a part of my life.
(Thanks for coming with me on this trip.)
Oh wait, yep, here it comes, baby photo, I simply can’t control it.
