Happywaking1. Taking a minute out of everything to plan Nora Lea’s first birthday party.

2. My dream of planning parties full time and doing all the rest of this tomfoolery only a little bit of the time.

3. She let go of the purple balloon and it floated two feet until the weight tied to the string brought it to the ground. All emotions on display.

4. Meals actually planned this week, groceries actually purchased.

5. The guy behind the counter at our local video store who recommended the twenty-five cent candy with our Death Race.

Papa at the beach1. Honestly telling a client, “It’s okay not to have a Facebook page.”

2. Honestly telling a client, “You don’t need to have a Twitter account either.”

3. Those folks so earnest about the power of social media to change the world. You go, social media champions. There sure are a lot of you.

4. Having to take out the waist on the baby carrier by at least four inches after James wears it. This belly is filled with the power of relaxed muscles.

5. Ice cream in the freezer for when we need it most.
